Kheepi ("we," "us," or "our") is a mobile application that helps you save things you find online, understand why you saved them, and bring them back at the right moment. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our app and website.
What information we collect
Account information
When you create an Kheepi account, we collect basic information such as your email address and display name. This helps us identify your account and provide you with a personalized experience.
Saved content and items
When you save something to Kheepi, we collect and store:
- URLs and links you share with the app
- Notes or descriptions you add
- The intent you select (e.g., "watch," "buy," "eat")
- The moment you choose (e.g., "tonight," "payday," "nearby")
- Completion status and history
Notification preferences
We store your notification settings so we can send you reminders at the moments you choose. You can adjust these preferences at any time in the app.
Location data
If you enable location-based reminders (such as "nearby" moments), we collect and securely store the location for that saved item, tied to your account, so we can trigger a notification when you're nearby. This location data is used solely to power this reminder feature — it is never used for advertising, never linked with third-party data, and never shared with a data broker. You can disable location features at any time through your device settings or within the app.
Device and diagnostic information
We use Sentry to collect crash reports and error logs when something goes wrong, which may include basic device information such as device type, operating system version, and app version. This helps us identify and fix bugs. We do not currently use behavioral analytics tools to track how you use the app.
How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide the core Kheepi experience — saving, organizing, and resurfacing your items
- Send you notifications at the moments you choose
- Deliver location-based reminders when you're near a saved place
- Send you optional weekly digest emails
- Improve the app and develop new features
- Respond to your questions and support requests
How we store your data
Your data is stored securely using third-party infrastructure providers, including Supabase. We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and at rest.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal information in accordance with our data deletion process.
Third-party services
We use a small number of trusted third-party services to operate Kheepi, and only share the minimum information necessary for each to function:
- Supabase — our backend database and authentication provider. Stores your account information and saved items.
- Sentry — crash and error monitoring, to help us find and fix bugs.
- RevenueCat — manages subscription purchases and links them to your account. Your payment details are handled entirely by Apple or Google and are never seen or stored by us or RevenueCat.
- Google — used for "Sign in with Google," and, if you use location-based reminders, the Google Places API to search for places.
- Apple — used for "Sign in with Apple," if you choose that option.
If we add behavioral analytics tools in the future, we will update this policy accordingly.

Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information
- Delete your account and associated data
- Export your data in a portable format
- Opt out of certain data processing

Children's privacy
Kheepi is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
International users
Kheepi is operated from Canada. If you are accessing the app from outside Canada, please be aware that your information may be transferred to and processed in Canada or other countries. By using Kheepi, you consent to this transfer. We aim to comply with applicable privacy laws and respect the privacy rights of users regardless of location.
